Being a fan of the sport, one of the most beautiful sights in Cricket is seeing the ball sail over the boundary rope for a Six. It would be safe to say that everybody loves a batsman hitting a Six, except the bowler who has conceded it. Well, we all know the age-old adage 'catches win matches'. But there have been some spectacular saves and fielding efforts that have not only saved a Six but have also got the batsman dismissed. Here is a short compilation video of such super-man efforts that will make you watch it twice.

1) Tim Southee and Karun Nair

Fielding for the Rajasthan Royals, Tim Southee, and Karun Nair pulled off this spectacular catch against Kings XI Punjab. KXIP needed 32 runs to win of 7 deliveries and the shot by George Bailey seemed well on its way beyond the boundary rope but Tim Southee tossed up the ball and Karun Nair completed this beautiful effort.

2) Andre Russell

Andre Russel saved 4 runs for his team when he stopped this shot from going for a spectacular Six. Shane Watson struck the ball firmly towards the on-side but Russell timed his jumped well and threw the ball back into the field. It was a magnificent effort!

3) Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja has always been very agile on the field. Time and again he has come up with brilliant fielding efforts, and this one taken off Ishant Sharma's bowling seems to be the best of his lot. It also brought an end to Brendon McCullum's brilliant innings of 224!

4) Faf Du Plessis

Faf Du Plessis is a fielder par excellence. In this match against Australia, he set up this unbelievable catch to get rid of the dangerous Aaron Finch. Have a look:

5) David Hussey

Australia's David Hussey raised many eyebrows with this catch in an IPL contest. Hussey took this marvelous catch playing against the Delhi Daredevils team; Hussey lit up this match with his catch!

6) Ben Laughlin and Jake Weatherald

Often termed 'the greatest catch you will ever see', this mind-boggling effort by Ben Laughlin and Jake Weatherland will leave you bamboozled. The catch is a perfect example of team-work in fielding and a masterclass in how to execute a catch well.

One can easily remember how Chris Lynn, playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, pouched a stunner near the boundary ropes to dismiss AB de Villiers of RCB. There have been instances in the past where catches such as these have turned the course of the match in no time. The mentioned catches in the above list did not just defy gravity but also left the fans awestruck. With Indian Premier League (IPL) soon approaching, one can expect more such catches in the upcoming season. If watching Sixes being hit a treat to watch, then such athletic catches are the limited editions in fielding efforts.
