England all-rounder Ben Stokes punched his fellow-mate Abdul Rashid while celebrating Ajinkya Rahane’s wicket on the Day 4 of the 4th Test match between India and England. Well, the punch was not intentional, obviously! The incident occurred while the England team were waiting for the third umpire’s verdict on the Indian vice-captain’s DRS appeal!

Moeen Ali bowled a superb delivery which rapped Ajinkya Rahane plumb in front of the stumps. The on-field umpire raised his finger, but Rahane took a chance by asking for a DRS. The England camp were jubilant, Ben Stokes in particular, after the third umpire upheld’s the on-field umpire’s decision. And why not, Rahane was the last thorn in host’s flesh after skipper Virat Kohli was dismissed a short while ago.

Of what was meant to be a hug, resulted in an inadvertent, accidental punch on Abdul Rashid’s face. Well, all is well that ends well. There was nothing much to read in the incident and was buried there and then. However, for viewers, such light-hearted moments, which are not televised on LIVE TV, are often a reason of enthusiasm!
