As per a report by Sportstar, Afghanistan may host Bangladesh for the white ball series in India at the Shahid Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex after the T20 World Cup 2024. The Afghani team is reported to host Bangladesh for a three-match ODI and T20I series from July 25 to August 6. Afghanistan Cricket Board CEO Naseeb Khan said to Sportstar, "We have closely worked with the BCCI to resume our hosting agreement, making this series possible after a long break. The BCCI has allotted us two grounds - one in Kanpur and the other in Greater Noida. Since we have played at Greater Noida in the past, we decided to host the series against Bangladesh there."

Afghanistan are currently part of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 and have qualified for the Super Eights stages of the tournament. The Afghani team led by Rashid Khan has been in brilliant form and they will hope to continue to shine in the same way as they have done before.
