SA Win By An Innings and 273 Runs | Bangladesh vs South Africa Highlights of 2nd Test 2024 Day 3: Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Senuran Muthusamy Helps Visitors Secure Dominant Series Victory

Absolutely forgettable day for Bangladesh out on the field. They were 48/8 at one stage in the first innings and escaped anyhow to get a comparatively respectable score but following on, they crumbled once again and got bowled out for only 143. Kagiso Rabada took fifer in the first innings while the feat was achieved by Keshav Maharaj in the second. Senuran Muthusamy also scalped four wickets in the second innings. South Africa will be now really hopeful for World Test Championship final spot. 

Bangladesh are a few steps away from a gutting loss and  Mahidul Islam Ankon along with Taijul Islam tries to delay the inevitable as long as possible. South Africa have been entirely dominant through the match with the bat and ball and they will look to end proceedings on Day three taking back a mammoth victory.  

Senuran Muthusamy and Keshav Maharaj lead the charge for South Africa with three wickets between them. Following-on Bangladesh is in deep trouble and lost early wickets yet again.

After a huge lead in the first inning, Proteas asked the hosts to bat again. The Bangladesh side lost the first wicket in the second inning. Lunch Break! A balanced session in all where the visitors dominated the early proceedings but the Bangladesh side fought back with an amazing 91-run partnership for the ninth wicket. Mominul Haque, Taijul Islam must be praised for their performance in tough conditions. 

50 Up for Mominul Haque! Just when it seemed over, Bangladesh showed some resistance. Mominul Haque completed his half-century and formed an 'unexpected' 65 runs partnership with Taijul Islam.

100 up for Bangladesh! Great batting performance from Mominul Haque with a 52-run partnership with Taijul Islam. Little fightback from the hosts.

Just when Bangladesh was hoping for a long partnership, it was Kasigo Rabada's masterclass again. He has set up Shanto beautifully and smart field change made Shanto think by pushing short-leg back. A new day and new hope for Bangladesh as Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque will look to play-out the opening period and build a strong partnership. South Africa on the other hand will look to take on tail-enders with two quick wickets.
