Stumps! That's the end of day 1. Much better batting conditions at Chattogram compared to the Mirpur pitch and the South Africa batters used it to the fullest. Tony de Zorzi and Tristan Stubbs both scored their maiden centuries and piled up runs powering South Africa set for a big total on the board. Bangladesh needs a better Day 2 to comeback in the game.

After a partnership of 201 runs and both the contributors scoring century, Tristan Stubbs falls to Taijul Islam.  Stubbs rocks back to cut the middle-stump delivery, it skids on and keeps a bit low, maybe a bit of a bottom-edge too and the ball hits the stumps. Hundred for Tristan Stubbs! Finally the talented youngster reaches the three-figure mark in Test cricket and scores his maiden century. Stubbs has been playing second fiddle to Tony de Zorzi but once the latter's century was completed he opened and also joined de Zorzi as the second centurion of the innings. South Africa are up for a big total here. 

Tristan Stubbs and Tony de Zorzi put up with a 150+ run partnership as the South Africa side is cruising in the second Test. Bangladesh bowlers struggling at the moment with Stubbs also closing on a century. 

200 Up for South Africa! In a smooth sailing inning, Tristan Stubbs and Tony de Zorzi put Proteas in command with 136 runs partnership. Tony de Zorzi completes his maiden century.

Since the departure of Aiden Markram, the South African batting lineup was hardly troubled. Tristan Stubbs completes his half-century, while Tony de Zorzi is closing in on his maiden century. 

Batting effectively on a flat surface, South Africa reached the 150-run mark in just 42 overs half of which were scored by Tony de Zorzi. 

After a strong start, South Africa will look to score as many runs as possible before the third session. 

Safe to say that Proteas are in with a positive start to the second Test. at the end of first session, South Africa has 109 runs on board with Tony de Zorzi's half-century. Taijul Islam dismissed Aiden Markram

50 Up for South Africa! and it took just 12 overs. Aiden Markram and Tony de Zorzi are stroking the ball well and have already hit four boundaries. With both batter's strike rate of above 50, South Africa see off the opening spell.
