Barring 105-run stand for the third wicket between Williamson and Taylor, Kiwis struggled in setting up partnerships. It was Mushfiqur Rahim’s error that helped the dup stitch such a crucial partnership. Otherwise, Kiwis could have lost top three inside 12 overs.
Bangladesh then separated the two as Mehidy Hasan has Williamson caught. Taylor then continued to take Kiwis close to the target. “I was very nervous in the end. But gotta give the credit to Bangladesh and their supporters who came out in numbers. They put a lot of pressure on us and this could have gone either way. We thought 270-280 was a good score on this wicket but the bowlers kept it tight,” Taylor said after being named as Man of the Match. World’s Worst Wicketkeeper!
