Bangladesh have beaten the Netherlands by 25 runs and this victory has taken them closer to qualifying for the Super Eight stage. Najmul Hossain Shanto's men had a good bowling performance, as they took wickets at regular intervals and did not let the Netherlands run away with the game at any stage. Bangladesh will be super happy with this performance. The Netherlands will now have to depend on other results to go through, something which looks unlikely.

Bangladesh have posted a fighting score in this match, largely due to Shakib Al Hasan's fifty. The experienced cricketer raised his hand up in this crucial contest, scoring 64* off 46 balls. Bangladesh have managed a fighting score and will have to bowl very well to defend and win this.

13 Jun, 21:47 (IST)

Bangladesh National Cricket Team vs Netherlands National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Bangladesh take on the Netherlands in what promises to be an interesting Group D match on Thursday, June 13. Bangladesh started off their campaign with a nervy win over Asian rivals Sri Lanka before losing to South Africa by just four runs in their last match. A win against the Netherlands will surely put Bangladesh back in contention for a place in Group D, but it would not be an easy task. Batting was their weaker link in that loss to South Africa and the defeat, which was just by four runs, prompted fans to call for a law change that denied Bangladesh a boundary. Bangladesh will take a lot of confidence from the way they bowled against South Africa and will look to emulate that form against the Netherlands. Shakib Al Hasan Opens Up on Rift With Tamim Iqbal, Says ‘Bangladesh Cricket Board Chief Nazmul Hasan’s Comments Created This Situation’.

Scott Edwards and his team on their part, have been decent as well. Despite a poor batting effort on a spicy New York pitch against South Africa, the bowlers kept them in the game for a good period of time before Proteas rode on David Miller's composed knock to go through. Netherlands had memorably defeated Bangladesh the last time these two teams squared off in an ICC event, which was way back at the 50-over World Cup in 2023. Bulldozers Arrive To Dismantle Nassau County International Stadium Following IND vs USA ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Match.
