Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Season 6 is around the corner, and the excitement level amongst fans is sky-high. The squads were formed this past week, on October 29, with all the seven franchises finalising their teams. The BPL 2018-19 season was previously scheduled to begin in October this year; however, it is now rescheduled to begin in January next year.

Bangladesh Premier League, like any other T20 league across the globe, will boast of several high-profile foreign players’ names in each squad. It will be exciting for the fans to see the mix of both international and local players in action in the game’s most-loved format.

There are a lot of international players who will be participating in the T20 league. With them, they will be bringing a lot of experience, knowledge, and not to forget a bit of glamour to the event. As the sixth season of Bangladesh Premier League nears, we bring you a list of players to watch out for in the upcoming season.

1. David Warner | Sylhet Sixers

The left-handed batsman would be looking to put the episode at Newlands behind and aim to come good in BPL 2018-19. It will be David Warner’s debut at the Bangladesh Premier League.

The suspended Australian opener was signed directly by Sylhet Sixers. After an average show in the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Warner would be itching to prove his worth.

2. Sunil Narine | Dhaka Dynamites

The West Indian spinner has cast a web of spin over players in different T20 leagues wherever he has played across the globe. Sunil Narine has bamboozled batsmen with his canny spin and a spectrum of variations in his bowling.

Not just with his bowling, Narine has also added an attacking form of batting to his arsenal. It will be interesting to see how the versatile player performs in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League.

3. AB de Villiers | Rangpur Riders

The former South African captain had announced retirement from all forms of cricket earlier this year. There are speculations that de Villiers is contemplating to come out of retirement to play in the ICC World Cup 2019.

If true, his presence in the Bangladesh Premier League would be a step in the right direction. Also, it will be a treat for the fans to see Mr 360 back in action on the field!

4. Sandeep Lamichhane | Sylhet Sixers

The first Nepalese bowler to participate in the Bangladesh Premier League, Sandeep Lamichhane would be looking forward to making a name on a global platform.

The 18-year-old was picked up by Delhi Daredevils to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) earlier this year. However, he couldn’t get many games under his belt. Playing for Sylhet Sixers, Sandeep would be aiming to gain experience (and fame too), this season.

5. Chris Gayle | Rangpur Riders

Well, the name needs no introduction. There is no T20 league across the globe Chris Gayle hasn’t been a part of. The six-hitting machine has lit up every event that he has participated in.

Gayle was one of the top batsmen to have played in the Bangladesh Premier League previous year. He played a tournament-winning knock in the final and would be looking to carry his form in this edition too.

There are a lot of other international and local players’ names that the fans will be looking forward to. Kieron Pollard, Mohammad Ashraful, Luke Ronchi, Najibullah Zadran, Tamim Iqbal, Shoaib Malik, Carlos Brathwaite, Mustafizur Rahman, and Gulbadin Naib are some of the fan-favourites who will be playing in the Bangladesh Premier League!
