The score of 43 is Bangladesh’s lowest score ever in Test cricket. Their previous lowest score was 62, which was recorded against Sri Lanka in the year 2007!
Bangladesh were all-out on a paltry 43 runs against West Indies in the first Test match of the two-match Test series in the Caribbean. It was Kemar Roach’s lethal bowling that troubled Bangladesh the most, in facing the chin music. No other batsman in the line-up was able to reach the double-figures except Liton Das. The Bangladeshi opener managed to score 25 runs as he was dismissed by Miguel Cummins in the 14th over.
The Bangladeshi team had a good half hour in the start as both openers, Tamim Iqbal and Das looked to defend comfortably against the bowling duo of Roach and Shanon Gabriel. However, it was Roach who drew first blood in the form of Iqbal who was caught out on four runs in the fifth over. From there on, the wickets fell like a pack of cards.
