David Warner, the disgraced Australian vice-captain and opening batsman, who has come to be identified as the master mind of the ball tampering incident that happened in the third test of the ongoing test series between South Africa and Australia, will address a media conference in Sydney on Saturday. The other two players involved in the ball tampering row, suspended Australian skipper Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft, have already spoken to the media and apologised on Thursday.

Cricket Australia (CA) has said that now, David Warner will talk to the media on Saturday and speak on the ball tampering row that has kicked up a storm in international cricket and especially in Cricket Australia.

David Warner has been banned from playing for a year after it was ascertained that he played a huge role in the ball tampering row. In fact, the Australian press has called him the master-mind of the tampering row. Skipper Steve Smith has also received a one year ban and junior batsman Cameron Bancroft has been banned for nine months. Darren Lehmann, who was coaching the Australian team on the tour, resigned on Friday.

David Warner, who arrived in Australia late on Thursday with wife and two daughters, spoke briefly to the media and said , “As you can understand, it has been a tough, emotional time for my wife and kids,” Warner said at Sydney airport. “At the present time, you’ll hear from me in a couple of days. At the moment, my priority is to get these kids in bed, and rest up and get my mind a bit clear so I can think, and talk in a couple of days,” added Warner.

The suspended Australia skipper Steve Smith addressed a press conference on Thursday. The captain, who has been banned for a year, broke down during the press briefing and apologised to fans and young children to looked up to him for inspiration. Steve Smith was accompanied with his dad in the conference, who stood by his side when he broke down.
