Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first and have scored 250 plus score for the loss of three wickets. Pakistan did not get a good start as they lost their skipper Azhar Ali got dismissed cheaply at 11 runs by Michael Neser. Babar Azam has also been named the captain of Pakistan Cricket Team in the shortest format of the game. He is currently one of the leading batsmen in the world and has already made a good name in ODIs and T20Is. In ODIs, he has scored 15 half-centuries and 11 hundred and has scored 3359 runs from 74 ODIs. He averages 54.17 with a strike rate of 87.08.
Now speaking about his Test career, he has made 1235 runs from 21 matches where he has scored a century and 11 half-centuries. With this 100, he has proved that he can be a good batsman in Test too. The on-going three-day practice match will get over on Nov 13, 2019. Pakistan will play one more two-day practice game against Cricket Australia XI from Nov 15, 2019, before they head to play 1st Test against Aussies which will start from Nov 21, 2019.
