The Australian opening batsman scored his century off 110 deliveries that included seven fours and two maximums. He joins Shakib Al Hasan (384 runs) of Bangladesh, England's Joe Root (367 runs) and Rohit Sharma of India (319 runs) to have scored two centuries each in the ongoing CWC 2019 tournament. Warner jumped to second in the list of highest run scorers in CWC19 after hitting his second century in the tournament. Warner nudged Shakib Al Hasan to mid-wicket to take a single in the second delivery of the 33rd over to reach the landmark. Shakib Al Hasan currently leads the scoring chart but Warner needs just three runs to beat the Bangladeshi all-rounder and climb to top in the highest run-scoring list. The 32-year-old was involved in a 121-run opening partnership with skipper and fellow opener Aaron Finch (53) to give Australia a perfect start after Finch had won the toss and elected to bat first. His first century of the tournament came against Pakistan where Warner played a match-winning knock of 107 to guide Australia to a 41-run victory over Pakistan.
Both Warner and Finch have been in terrific form at CWC 2019 stitching some valuable partnerships to give Australia good starts in most of their matches. While Finch is fourth in the highest run-scoring list, Warner jumped to second following another good knock against Bangladesh.
