PAK Win by 8 Wickets | Australia vs Pakistan Highlights of 3rd ODI 2024: Bowlers Guide Pakistan to Back-to-Back Victories Against Australia

The Australia vs Pakistan ODI series will be remembered for the dominance of the Pakistan bowlers. Haris Rauf starred in the second ODI with a five-wicket haul while Shaheen Afridi and Naseen Shah helped visitors to win the series decider. Batters had little work to do but on the conditions, they also performed well and deserve credit. A great win for Pakistan ahead of the T20I series. 

Another well-deserved win for Pakistan as the team effort guided them to a series win against Australia.

After strong bowling performance, batters have also delivered for Pakistan as openers provided perfect start and experienced batters doing their role perfectly. Possibly a controlled win for Pakistan.

Experienced pair of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan is at the crease after a strong start provided by the openers. Lance Morris took two wickets in his last over giving hosts some hope.

Batting responsibly, Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique have scored 47 runs in just 10 overs. Pakistan looking in complete control at the moment and this win will surely provide a major boost to their confidence ahead of the upcoming T20I series. 

Needing just under 3 runs per over, the Pakistan side is in no hurry. Openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique are doing that only. Causiously playing every delivery the side now has 19 runs on the board.

Thats it! Shaheen Shah Afridi took the final wicket as Pakistan restricted Australia to 140 runs. Sean Abbott with the highest score for his side helped the side put a tricky target on the board. Along with Abbott's 30 runs, opener Matthew Short scored 22 runs while the rest of the batting order failed to impress. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah took three wickets each for Pakistan.

Possibly the largest partnership of the inning comes to an end with Adam Zampa handing a catch to Saim Ayub.  A short length delivery just outside off, Zampa arches back and cuts but fails to keep it down, finds Ayub for a simple catch. 100 up for Australia! Hosts lost too many wickets early on putting them on the backfoot for the majority of the period. 'Fearless' tailenders are now looking to throw a bat at every delivery to get as many runs as possible. Will these runs affect the result? we have to wait for Australia's bowling performance.

After 15 overs it's 74/4 for Australia. Pakistan pacers are on a roll once again with four top batters back in the pavilion and just 55 runs off the bat. Australia need a partnership to stay in the match.

Some entertaining action from the Optus stadium in Perth as both teams performed well in the opening 10 overs with pace and swing from the bowlers and some eye-catching shots from the batters. Pakistan with slight edge though due to two important wickets early on.   

Out! Aaron Hardie looking to leave the out-swinging delivery edges an easy catch in the slip. The Ball runs off the face of the bat and to the right of the second slip. In the series decider, Pakistan skipper chooses to bowl first winning the toss. Australia makes five changes in the squad with Lance Morris, Cooper Connolly, Marcus Stoinis, Sean Abbott and Spencer Johnson coming in the team while Josh Inglish takes the captain's role.
