AUS Win By 36 Runs | Australia vs England Highlights of ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Aussies Ride on Complete Team Performance to Continue Winning Run

A clinical performance this has been from Australia as they remained undefeated in this T20 World Cup. Beating England was always going to be a tough ask and Australia did so pretty comfortably in the end by 36 runs. Mitchell Marsh and his men have once again shown why they are a serious contender for the title after their poor show in the previous edition. A complete team performance shows them finishing on the positive side of the result. Meanwhile, England have been handed a big loss, which has put them in a tight spot in Group B. The reigning champions find themselves in the fourth spot and will need to win both their remaining matches--against Oman and Namibia by good margins to have a shot at making the Super Eight stages. Their bowlers were far from their best while the batting, too, fizzled out after a good partnership at the top between captain Jos Buttler and Phil Salt.

England have had a decent start through Jos Buttler and Phil Salt and they have not lost a wicket while keeping the required run rate in check. England would need one of these two players to go big now. 

England have managed 31 runs off the first three balls, with both Jos Buttler and Phil Salt starting to show signs of aggression. Australia will look for a wicket here which will help them gain an edge.

Marsh missed the ball and Jos Buttler gathered it alright but was not able to dislodge the bails in his first attempt. Travis Head and David Warner began with a bang, hitting the bowlers for sixes with ease, but England bounced back, dismissing both of these batters. Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell then joined forces to keep up the scoring rate and ensure the momentum was on their side.
