Babar Azam offered the main resistance for the visitors as a part of a 132-run sixth-wicket partnership with Muhammad Rizwan. The pair held out for two and a half hours, but Nathan Lyon finally broke the partnership as he dismissed Babar Azam at 104 runs. Hazlewood dismissed Muhammad Rizwan for 95 after tea and it was the beginning of the end for Pakistan. The pacer than dismissed Yasir Shah, who put on a good fight moments later and then quickly wrapped up  Shaheen Afridi. Mitchell Starc put an end to Pakistan’s misery when he dismissed Imran Khan to finish the match with seven wickets. The left-arm pacer had also dismissed Captain Azhar Ali and Haris Sohail on the previous day. Pat Cummins also finished with the figures of 2/42 as he dismissed Asad Shafiq early in the morning to go with Shaan Masood the night before. It was not all doom and gloom for Pakistan as Babar Azam was once again the shining spark for them. Babar showed his class as the right-hander scored his second test century. Rizwan’s innings of 95 was his best in Test cricket so far. This will give the away side some confidence before heading into the Adelaide test on November 29.
