Pakistan batsman Asif Ali’s two-year-old daughter died battling cancer at a hospital in the United States on Sunday, said a statement from Pakistan Super League team Islamabad United. Pakistan Batsman Asif Ali's 2-Year-old Daughter Dies of Cancer.

Ali, who is touring England with the Pakistan national cricket team and played in the 54-run defeat on Sunday, is expected to return back home following the das demise of his daughter.

The 27-year-old, who was not picked in Pakistan’s preliminary World Cup squad but was selected for the England tour, had tweeted about the condition of his daughter before leaving for the United Kingdom.
