Arjun Tendulkar To Play for Mumbai in Vizzy Trophy 2019: List of Cricket Tournaments Sachin Tendulkar's Son Played So Far

Arjun Tendulkar is set to take up another journey in his cricket career as he is selected in Mumbai squad for Vizzy trophy. He has India U-19 team, MCC Young Cricketers, and Aakash Tigers MWS teams before. While paying for India U-19 team against Sri Lanka U-19 team, he took his maiden international wicket.

Arjun Tendulkar is set to take up another journey in his cricket career as he is selected in Mumbai squad for Vizzy trophy 2019. The 50-over cricket tournament is scheduled to start in Andhra Pradesh from August 22. Unlike his father Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun is a left-handed bowler and batsman. Vizzy Trophy is not the first cricket stint of the left-handed pacer, Arjun has played in few popular cricket tournaments before. Ajrun made his debut in U-19 India team in June 2018. He was selected in India Under-19 team for the two four-day Test matches in Sri Lanka in July. Other than the Indian national U-19 team, Arjun has played in Second XI championship contest and Mumbai T20 league 2019. Arjun Tendulkar Named in 15-Man Mumbai Squad for Vizzy Trophy 2019 in Andhra Pradesh. 

While paying for India U-19 team against Sri Lanka U-19 team, he took his maiden international wicket. He dismissed Sri Lanka’s Kamil Mishara on the first day of the first Test at Cricket Club Ground, Colombo. He was not selected in the 2nd Test Match. Arjun also played for Marylebone Cricket Club Young Cricketers (MCC Young Cricketers) in Second XI Championship in July 2019. Arjun’s most impressive stint came in Mumbai T20 League 2019, in which he was picked up by Aakash Tigers MWS for 5 lakh in 2019. This was Mumbai T20 League’s second edition. Playing for Aakash Tigers MWS, the junior Tendulkar played 6 matches and scored 104 runs, being the third leading run-scorer in his team. He was the second leading wicket-taker in the tournament after Dhaval Kulkarni, bagging 5 wickets in 6 matches.

Arjun has been associated with cricket from his school days. He represented his school Dhirubhai Ambani International School in many cricket tournaments. He has already represented Mumbai in under-14 and under-16 tournaments before. Arjun’s success in his cricket career makes cricket fans believe that he may soon make his debut in the national team.
