Arjun Tendulkar does it again! Tendulkar junior continues to have a great run of a form as he snapped three wickets in the match between Mumbai and Assam in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2018. The eight round of the U 19 one day tournament is currently happening at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat. He gave away only 14 runs in eight overs and gave an early breakthrough to Mumbai by getting one wicket early in the innings. As the match proceeded, he went on to get the wickets of the tail-enders. Arjun removed Assam opener Danish Ahmed on the score of 1 from 12 balls and then Hrishikesh Borah on 1 run and Rituraj Biswas for a duck.
He bowled at the economy of 2 runs per over. The Assam team got out on the paltry score of 99 runs in 40.4 overs. From Assam’s side, Denish Das and Amlanjyoti Das were the highest scorers. Denish made 34 and Das made 29 runs. The Mumbai side beat Assam comprehensively by 10 wickets and achieved the target in 21 overs. It was Yashasvi Bhupendra Jaiswal and Suved Parker who fired for the team. Jaiswal made56 runs off 65 balls and the youngster hit eight fours. Whereas Suved Parkar could not score a half-century and made 41 runs from 65 balls. He hit 5 fours and no maximum. Arjun had previously taken five-wickets against Gujarat and registered the figures of 5/30 in the second round of the tournament. Back then, Tendulkar junior’s spells sent Vardhman Dattesh Shah (0), Priyesh (1), LM Kocher (8), Jaymeet Patel (26) and Dhruvang Patel (6) to the pavilion.
