Kuldeep Yadav achieved the feat of becoming the first Indian to take two hat-tricks in ODIs during India vs West Indies 2nd ODI 2019. The match was being played at Vizag Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Earlier in the match West Indies skipper, Kieron Pollard won the toss and elected to bowl first. Both Indian openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma scored centuries, where the latter was adjudged Man of the Match for his knock of 159 runs. Kuldeep took wickets of Shai Hope, Jason Holder and Alzarri Joseph consecutively in the 33rd over. Kuldeep Yadav after bagging a hat-trick in the recently-concluded one-day match against Windies joins an elite list of bowlers to pick up more than 1 hat-trick in ODI cricket. This list includes names like Lasith Malinga, Wasim Akram, Chaminda Vaas, Saqlain Mushtaq and Trent Boult. Interestingly, Kuldeep Yadav has also taken a hat-trick for India in Under-19 cricket. The three-match series between India and West Indies is currently levelled at 1-1 with last game to be played on Dec 22, 2019, at Cuttack.
