A while ago, cricketing fans got a shock with of their lives as Amabati Rayudu announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Rayudu was overlooked from the squad not once but twice from the team boarding the bus for 2019 Cricket World Cup. Back in April, when the selectors announced the team for CWC 2019, they selected Vijay Shankar for his 3D approach. After being dropped from the squad for the first time, Rayudu was obviously sad like any other player. But he vented out his frustration in a humorous way and took a jibe at selector MSK Prasad. Rayudu wrote on Twitter that he needed 3D glasses for watching the World Cup games. The announcement was made by Hyderabad Cricket Association. "This is to inform that Ambati Rayudu, Hyderabad captain and member of the India ODI team, has decided to retire from the longer version of the game including Ranji Trophy (multi-day) to focus on limited overs cricket and T20 cricket," Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) had stated. Rayudu had announced retirement from domestic cricket last year itself. Rayudu had scored 6151 runs from 97 games in first-class cricket.
