New Zealand defeated India 3-0 away from home in the recent three-match Test series. At one point it was considered an unthinkable task to whitewash India at home but Tom Latham and his boys were able to achieve it. In the first Test at Bengaluru it was the seam attack which stepped up for the Kiwis dismissing India for just 46 in the first innings. In the second Test at Pune it was Mitchell Santner who shined with the ball in both innings and in the third Test match it was Ajaz Patel who scalped five-wicket haul in both innings and picked a total of 11 wickets sealing the whitewash for New Zealand. The Kiwi batters were not consistent but someone or the other put their hand up and did the job. It is an historical achievement for the blackcaps and surely they will cherish it for long.
