There are no doubts that Russell was scared as he could have suffered an injury during the moment. Ahmad apologised to the right-handed batsman after the delivery. The Jamaican cricketer signalled to the dressing room to bring his helmet as a precautionary measure. Meanwhile, in the match, Russell played a great inning with his 25-ball-41, but unfortunately could not take his team to victory. While chasing 103 runs, Northern Warriors remained six runs short and could only reach 96/6 in 10 overs. Player of the match David Wiese took three wickets.
Earlier, Bangla Tigers scored 102/6 batting first. Openers Andre Fletcher and Rilee Rossouw shared a 64-run stand with individual scores of 22 and 21 respectively. Robbie Frylinck build up a brilliant climax for Bangla Tigers’ innings with his quick-fire of 36 runs off 12 balls in the end. His marvellous innings consisted of three sixes and four fours.
