In a piece of unfortunate news, young spinner Abrar Ahmed has been hospitalised after the player complained of high fever and body aches during the ongoing PAK vs ENG 1st Test 2024 in Multan. Interestingly, Abrar bowled as many as 31 overs on Day 3 under immense heat in Multan. Abrar did not take the field on Day four having not traveled to Multan Cricket Stadium with his teammates. FYI, Abrar made his red-ball debut against England in Multan in 2022 and claimed 11 wickets in the Test. In his short career, Abrar has been struggling with injuries, mainly dealing with his back, that forced the leg-spinner out of Pakistan's tour of Australia, and first Test against Bangladesh last month.
