Abid Ali brought up his maiden Test hundred during the 1st Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Test in Rawalpindi and became the first male cricketer to smash a century both in Test and ODI debut. Earlier in the match, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first in the historic Test. A century from Dhananjaya de Silva guided the visitors to 308/6 in the first innings where they declared.
