Conor McGregor Beats Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone via TKO in 40 Seconds on UFC 246 Return
McGregor’s last win at the Octagon had come on November 2016 when he beat Eddie Alvarez to become the first UFC fighter to hold two championship belts simultaneously. Since then the 31-year-old had lost to Floyd Mayweather in 2017 and to lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in a lop-sided clash the next year.
Conor McGregor needed 40 seconds to beat Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the UFC 246 main event. The former two-division champion, who was making his return after 15 months away from the octagon, walked through Cowboy with a head kick and a series of punches 40 seconds into the opening round of UFC 246 to mark his first victory since 2016.
