India had a productive day yesterday (Day 4) at Games as they have clinched 3 medals in Judo and Weightlifting Events at Commonwealth Games 2022. All eyes will be on Day 5 as Indians will compete in 6-7 finals in different sports events.

Usha Bannur put forward a great display but will not be winning a medal in the Women's 87kg Weightlifting event as she finishes outside the podium places. The Indian athlete finishes with a 95kg snatch and 110kg clean & jerk to record a total lift of 205kg.
Rohit Tokas advanced to the quarterfinals of Men's 67kg event at Commonwealth Games 2022 after an impressive victory. The Indian boxer defeated Ghana Alfred Kotey following a judges decision.
Malaysia have taken an early lead in the mixed team badminton finals at Commonwealth Games 2022. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lost the doubles game 2-0.

India created history with the first gold medal in the Lawn Bowls event at Commonwealth Games. India won the Women's Fours event as they defeated South Africa 17-10 in the finals.
India have taken a 1-0 lead in the men's table tennis gold medal match. The duo of Harmeet Desai and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran defeated the Malaysian pair in the opening match.
India have shown great fightback in the Lawn Bowls finals as after trailing following end 11, they have regained their advantage and are now 12-10 ahead after end 13.
South Africa have turned the finals around as after training the game 8-2 at one point, they now lead the match 11-8 following the completion of end 11.
After trailing to India for the most part, South Africa have got themselves back on level terms in the lawn bowls finals as after end 10, the score is tied at 8-8.
South Africa have shown great fighting spirit and git themselves right back into the finals. The score stands at 8-6 in the favour of India as we head into end 9.
Dutee Chand had a brilliant start to her race but wasn't able to secure herself a semifinal spot in the Women's 100m event as she finished fourth in her heat.

Meanwhile, India have been assured of three more medals after they reached the finals of Women's Fours Lawn Bowls Event, Mixed Team Badminton Event and Men's Table Tennis Team Event. In Squash category, Sourav Ghosal and Suyana Kuruvilla made to the semifinals, but Joshna Chinappa bowed out. However, all eyes will be on Day 5 as India could add couple more medals to their tally. Punam Yadav, Vikas Thakur and Usha Kumara will be fighting for top honours in the finals of Weightlifting Events. But, the most anticipating Event will be Women's Fours Lawn Bowls Final as India have reached the final for the first time in the history. Badminton Mixed Team and Men's TT Team will also compete in the final events today. PV Sindhu-led badminton team would look to add golden medal to India's medal tally as they have been dominant throughout the Event. Men's TT team will also aim top honours in the Mixed Team final today.
