Commonwealth Games 2022 Results Day 5: Check Top Results, Highlights from Birmingham CWG and Updated Medal Tally

Another exciting day of action at Commonwealth Games 2022 comes to an end. Multiple medals were won while others moved closer to their objective of a podium finish. Check CWG 2022 full medal table here.  

Usha Bannur put forward a great display but will not be winning a medal in the Women's 87kg Weightlifting event as she finishes outside the podium places. The Indian athlete finishes with a 95kg snatch and 110kg clean & jerk to record a total lift of 205kg.

Rohit Tokas advanced to the quarterfinals of Men's 67kg event at Commonwealth Games 2022 after an impressive victory. The Indian boxer defeated Ghana Alfred Kotey following a judges decision.

PV Sindhu has brought India back on level terms in the mixed team badminton finals. The Indian shuttler defeated Jin Wei Goh to level the finals 1-1.

Malaysia have taken an early lead in the mixed team badminton finals at Commonwealth Games 2022. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lost the doubles game 2-0.

Saurav Ghosal lost to New Zealand's Paul Coll in the men's singles Squash semifinals. He will now compete in a bronze medal match.

Sunayna Kuruvilla defeated Pakistan's Faiza Zafar to book her place in the women's singles squash plate finals at Commonwealth Games 2022. 

Vikas Thakur becomes the eighth Indian weightlifter to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 as he secures silver in the men's 96kg category.

India defeated Singapore in the finals to win a gold medal in Men’s Table Tennis event at Commonwealth Games 2022.

India are now one win away from securing gold at the Men's table tennis competition as they have taken a 2-1 lead in the finals. Sathiyan Gnanasekaran defeated Yew Pang in a singles match.

Singapore have got back on level terms in the men's table tennis finals against India after losing the opening encounter of the series. Zhe Chew defeated Sharath Kamal in a singles match.

India created history with the first gold medal in the Lawn Bowls event at Commonwealth Games. India won the Women's Fours event as they defeated South Africa 17-10 in the finals.

India have taken a 1-0 lead in the men's table tennis gold medal match. The duo of Harmeet Desai and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran defeated the Malaysian pair in the opening match.

India have shown great fightback in the Lawn Bowls finals as after trailing following end 11, they have regained their advantage and are now 12-10 ahead after end 13.

India have come back into the finals as the race for Gold heats up. The scores at tied at 10-10 after the competition of End 12.

South Africa have turned the finals around as after training the game 8-2 at one point, they now lead the match 11-8 following the completion of end 11.

After trailing to India for the most part, South Africa have got themselves back on level terms in the lawn bowls finals as after end 10, the score is tied at 8-8.

South Africa have shown great fighting spirit and git themselves right back into the finals. The score stands at 8-6 in the favour of India as we head into end 9.

India look on their way to a gold medal in Women's Four event of Lawn Bowls at CWG 2022 as they have taken an 8-2 lead in the match after end 7.

Dutee Chand had a brilliant start to her race but wasn't able to secure herself a semifinal spot in the Women's 100m event as she finished fourth in her heat.
