Mumbai, July 22: Cricket icon and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar tweeted and congratulated Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Monday for successfully launching Chandrayaan 2. The ‘Master Blaster’ in his tweet shared a picture of the GSLV – MkIII from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota. “The powerful booster GSLV-Mark-Three carrying Chandrayaan-2 on-board zoomed into space at 14.43 hours by puffing out thick smoke and leaving trailblazers amidst thundering sound from the second launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre,” reported All India Radio News.

With the launch proving successful, India entered an elite club as it became only the fourth country after USA, Russia and China to execute a soft land on the Moon.
