Bengal Warriors ahead of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 6 auction retained raider Maninder Singh and defender Surjeet Singh. In the auction, the Bengal-based franchise managed to snap South Korean Jang Kun Lee to boost their raiding line. Meanwhile, heading into the season six of PKL, Bengal Warriors will be looking to clinch their maiden title. Apart from Jang Kun Lee, Warriors added Ziaur Rehman to their defensive line.
Bengal Warriors' best season came last year (season 5) as they finished first in Zone B and made it to the playoffs for the first time. However, Warriors lost both the Qualifiers and thus failed to qualify for the finals and finished on third place. In the inaugural season, Warriors had a poor outing and ended on seventh place. Subsequently, in the second season, they finished sixth. In season three, they ended on fourth and then again they ended on the eighth spot in season four.
Season by season, Bengal Warriors have made a slow progress and in the upcoming edition, they will be looking to advance into the playoffs once again.
