Lucknow, November 29: Kidambi Srikanth lost in the quarterfinals to make an exit as Indian shuttlers Sourabh Verma and Rituparna Das advanced to the semifinals of the Syed Modi International tournament here on Friday.
Srikanth's run in the meet was ended by former world no. 1 Son Wan Ho. He went down 18-21, 19-21 to the Korean for his seventh loss in 11 meetings.
Meanwhile, Verman won 21-19, 21-16 against Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the quarterfinal match. He will next take on Korea's Heo Kwang Hee for a place in the men's singles final.
