The couple, who were reportedly set to get hitched on December 16, surprised their fans by announcing the pleasant news. The 28-year-old Indian shuttler tied the knot with the 32-year-old Commonwealth Games gold medallist Parupalli Kashyap in a private ceremony. She made the big announcement with two sweet pictures, captioning them as the "best match" of her life. Saina Nehwal wore a powder-blue and baby pink lehenga from VAISHALI couture. It was a classy choice by the Hyderabad-born shuttler who looked drop-dead gorgeous in her simple yet very elegant attire. She teamed up her bridal couture with a choker necklace, statement earrings and gold bangles. As for the groom, he colour-coordinated with his wife’s dupatta, i.e. went for pastel pink asymmetrical kurta, pyjama and waistcoat.

As for Jeelakarra Bellam, corresponding to the haldi ceremony in North-Indian weddings, was also an exciting affair at Kashyap’s household.
