Recently, PV Sindhi bagged massive limelight after winning the BWF World Championships 2019.
The Korea Open 2019 clash against Zhang was a hard-fought game for Rio Olympics silver medallist Sindhu. The American shuttler Zhang dominated the game from the start. She restricted Sindhu to just 7 points in the first set. However, Sindhu made a strong comeback in the second set winning it 24-22. The third set was little close, however, Zhang overshadowed Indian shuttler in the end 21-15. After her BWF World Championships 2019 feat, Sindhu has suffered hard-lucks in China Open 2019 and Korea Open 2019. It can be called as a setback for the Indian shuttler, who will have to rise again with her performance. Sindhu also recently faced an issue when South Korea's Kim Ji Hyun resigned from her position as India women's singles badminton coach. Kim left the position due to a personal problem. She left her post to take care of her ailing husband in New Zealand.
This comes as a big issue for Sindhu and other Indian women shuttlers with less than one year to go for the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Meanwhile, Indian shuttler B. Sai Praneeth also crashed out of the Korea Open Super 500 tournament due to an injury, He left the game midway during his first-round match against Anders Antonsen of Denmark.
