With news from Cricket, Football, and Kabaddi hogging all the limelight at the moment, a dash of Badminton comes as a fresh breath in the world of sports for all the fans. It will be Premier Badminton League’s (PBL) fourth edition, this year, as the Badminton Association of India (BAI) affiliated tournament gears up to begin from December 22, i.e. Saturday.

The Badminton Premier League sees a total of nine franchises competing in a round-robin format to qualify for the semi-finals and eventually the final. The teams participating in PBL 2018-19 season are Delhi Dashers, Northeastern Warriors, Awadhe Warriors, Ahmedabad Smash Masters, Mumbai Rockets, Pune 7 Aces, Hyderabad Hunters, Bengaluru Blasters, and Chennai Smashers.

The 23-day long tournament will see 30 matches being played in BPL 2019 season. Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru will be hosting all the matches in this edition. The 2018-19 PBL will see a slew of international stars participate in the tournament.

All Matches to be played in Premier Badminton League 2018-19: Season 4 PBL Fixtures

The inaugural season of the Premier Badminton League (previously known as Indian Badminton League), in 2013, was won by Hyderabad HotShots after they defeated Awadhe Warriors. The second season of PBL, in 2016, saw Delhi Dashers (previously known as Delhi Acers) defeat Mumbai Rockets in the final to be crowned as champions. In the previous season, in 2017, it was Chennai Smashers who defeated Mumbai Rockets in the finals to lift the PBL title.
