The Premier Badminton League (PBL) enters its fourth season. The PBL 2018-19 edition commences from 22 December, Saturday. A total of nine franchises, Delhi Dashers, Mumbai Rockets, Hyderabad Hunters, Chennai Smashes, Ahmedabad Smash Masters, Awadhe Warriors, Bengaluru Raptors, North Eastern Warriors and Pune 7 Aces will battle it out for the supremacy in the PBL 2018-19. Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru are the host cities of PBL 2018-19 or PBL 4. The badminton tournament will last for around 23 days and a total of 30 matches will be played in the league. Apart from star local players like PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, Ashwini Ponnappa, Kidambi Srikanth, Sai Praneeth, Parupalli Kashyap, and HS Prannoy, overseas shuttlers like Carolina Marin, Yoo Yeon Seong, Kim Gi Jung, Tommy Sugiarto, Chai Biao, Chris Adcock will be seen in the action as well.

The PBL 2018-19 opens with Pune 7 Aces vs Hyderabad Hunters clash and badminton fans would witness rivals PV Sindhu and Carolina Marin clashing against each other. After the league stage, the first semi-final of PBL 2018-19 takes place on Friday 11 January while the second semis will be held on 12 January. The final of PBL 2018-19 will be held on 13 January. The two semis and finals of PBL 2018-19 will take place at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru.
