Sania Mirza, the wife of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, took to Twitter and wrote: “Welcome back Wing Commander Abhinandan .. you are our HERO in the truest sense.. Meanwhile, Sania Mirza's hubby came under fire after Malik tweeted "Hamara #PakistanZindabad". Several Indians warned him of not letting him enter Hyderabad. Some tweets also went to such extent of warning him of physical assault if he visits India. Bharatiya Janta Party leader Raja Singh also demanded Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao dismiss Sania Mirza as a brand ambassador of Telangana.

The IAF Wing Commander was released after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday announced that captured IAF pilot will be freed on Friday. “We have captured Indian pilot. As a peace gesture, we will release him tomorrow... Pakistan acted with caution and restraint and replied to Indian aggression only to show that we are capable of safeguarding our sovereignty," Imran Khan said while addressing the national assembly.
