Indian archers have a bright start to the on-going Asian Archery Championship 2019 which is held in Bangkok. All the three men, women’s and mixed double teams ended the day yesterday by being in the top four. Atanu Das won his second bronze medal in the Championship. Das won his first medal during the mixed doubles pair with Deepika Kumari as the duo went on to beat China by 6-2. Needless to say that the Indians got their first medal in style. The five-day event witnessed Atanu winning yet another bronze medal a while ago in the men's recurve. He went on to beat South Korea’s Jin Hyek Oh by 6-5. Deepika Kumari, Atanu Das Bag Bronze Medal at Asian Archery Championships. 

The news was shared on the social media handle of the official handle of the Sports Authority of India as the body went on to congratulate the athlete. The compound mixed team of Abhishek Verma and Jyothi Surekha Vennam will clash against the Chinese Taipei pair in the final on Wednesday.  The Indian pair beat South Korea in the semi-finals 159-154 to book their place in the final.
