Hima Das on Saturday broke the national record in the Women’s 400m Qualifiers. Hima Das clocked 51.00 seconds to claim the National Record in women's 400m qualifiers, finishing second to Bahrain's Salwa Naser (50.86) in the heats. She will play in the final tomorrow.

India's Suriya Loganathan finishes sixth while Sanjivani Jadhav finishes 9th with a timing of 32:42.08 and 33:13.06 respectively. They fail to win any medal.
Another disappointment for India as Saurav Ghosal has lost his semi-final match against China. The ace Indian squash player lost the match despite taking an early lead 2-0 in the match.
Chinese Chun Ming Au made a comeback in the match and won it 3-2. Ghosal will have to settle for bronze in Men's Singles Squash event at Asian Games 2018.
Joshna Chinappa lost 19-year-old Sivasangari Subramaniam of Malaysia in women's singles quarterfinals event on Saturday. The 31-year-old squash player from India was defeated by current World No. 38 comfortably by 3-1. With this Chinappa too settles for bronze as the women's singles finals will see Sivasangari Subramaniam vs Nicol David for the gold medal.

Indian women's doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and N. Sikki Reddy are knocked out of women's doubles quarterfinals event. They lost in straight games 21-11, 24-22 to Chen Qingchen and Yifan Jia of China.
