Day 12 proved to be another golden day for India as two more gold medals were added to the overall medals tally. India's Jinson Johnson clinched the gold medal in the men's 1500 metres event. Johnson clocked 3 minutes and 44.72 seconds to win the gold medal. Indian Women's team won the gold in the 4x400 metre event. Hima Das, Raju Poovamma, Saritaben Laxmanbhai Gayakwad and Vismaya Koroth registered a time of 3 minutes and 28.72 seconds to give India the second gold of the day.India also won the silver medal in the men's 4X400 metre event thanks to the Indian quartet of Muhammed Kunhu, Dharun Ayyasamy, Muhammed Anas and Rajiv Arokia. India's men's hockey team failed to reach the final after losing to Malaysia in a penalty shoot-out. India will take on Pakistan on Saturday in the bronze medal tie.India's Seema Punia had to settle for the bronze medal in the women's discus throw event. The Indian team ran exceptionally well and after on the 5th position in the first lap; however, Muhammed Anas put India in the second position while completing his run.The Indian team finished the run in 3:01.85s and settled for Silver medal, while Gold medalists Qatar completed the run in 3:00.56s. Defending Champion Seema had to settle for a Bronze in Discuss Throw, with the top two positions secured by the Chinese athletes.Seema Punia recorded a throw of 62.26 metres, while the Gold Medal winner threw 65.12 metres, whereas the Silver Medal winner threw 64.25 metres.
