Since yesterday, images of the Indian Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore at the Asian Games 2018 have been going viral. In the picture we see the Sports Minister dressed in a suit and carrying tea and food for the athletes.  Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore's gesture has been applauded by the netizens on social media. The netizens have been going gaga about his act. However, it seems, that the social media may have got it wrong!

A senior sports journalist Digvijay Singh Deo, tweeted the entire sequence of pictures which clearly narrates that the Sports Minister served tea and snacks for himself and not for the athletes. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore stops by the athletes who get up from the seats to greet the Minister who then is seen having a chat with Saina Nehwal.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was even seen rooting for the athletes and was backing them with support.

Here is the video of the honourable minister cheering for the Indian athletes.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has been very active ever since he became the sports minister and has always looked for progress in the field. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Mann Ki Baat congratulated the athletes for winning medals at the Asian Games 2018. “The Indian athletes are especially shining in Shooting and Wrestling, but our athletes are also winning medals in those sports in which we have not been at our best in the past – like Wushu and Rowing. These are not just medals; this is a proof of the rising stature of Indian sports and athletes.”

He further went to say, “The medal-winner at the Asian Games include a great number of female athletes. The medal-winners also include 15-16-year-old teenagers. It is also a really good indication that many athletes who are winning medals, come from remote and small villages and have achieved success after tremendous hard work.”
