Asian Games 2018 Day 10 India Schedule in IST & Medal Tally: Full Fixtures List of Indian Athletes in Action on August 28
All eyes will be on PV Sindhu on August 28, thatâs 10th day of Asian Games 2018
India on the ninth day of the 2018 Asian Games bagged five medals to take their tally to 41. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in men's javelin throw final after recording his best throw of 88.06, which came in the third attempt. It was India's 8th gold at the ongoing Asian Games 2018. Apart from him, India managed to secure three silver medals in Athletics. Dharun Ayyasamy finished second in men's 400m hurdles, as did Sudha Singh in women's 3,000m steeplechase event and Neena Varakil in women's long jump final. The day started with Saina Nehwalâs bronze medal after she lost to Tzuying Tai of Chinese Taipei in straight games. Sindhu, who defeated Akane Yamaguchi in the semis, will be up against Tai Tzu-Ying in the finals. Sindhuâs participation assures India of at least silver medal. Meanwhile, she becomes the first Indian woman to reach singles final at Asian Games.
Also on August 28, Indiaâs menâs and womenâs Compound teams will be in action. Indian athletes will be participating in womenâs Hepthalon: Swapna Barman, Purnima Hembram, womenâs 200m qualification, womenâs Javelin Throw, menâs 800m final, womenâs 5000m final and menâs 45x400m relay final.
