The 69th Inter-Services Athletics Championship is being held currently in Pune at the Army Sports Institute from September 7-10, 2019. The championship will have games like 50 KM race walk, hammer throw, long jump, shot put, 400 M Hurdle, pole vault and many others. The announcement was made on the official website of the Press Information Bureau. Players like Subedar G Lakshmanan, National Champion in 1500 meters and 5000 meters, Junior Warrant Officer Nirmal Noah Tom 400 Meters National Champion, Havildar Avinash Sable, Gold medalist in the vin 3000 Meters Steeple Chase, Petty Officer Tejinder Singh Toor Gold medalist at the Asian Games in Shot Put will be seen in action.
The official account of the Press Information Bureau shared the schedule of the same. The opening ceremony will be held on September 7 at the 4.05 PM with the arrival of the Chief Guest. The first game will begin at 4.30 PM with 200 m race. Check out the complete schedule below:

Army Sports Institute was made incorporated in July 2001 and is equipped with all the start of art facilities for sports like Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Diving, Weightlifting and Wrestling. As per the press release by the PIB, “The Inter-Services Athletics Championship will serve as a testbed for selection of Services Sports Control Board team which would be competing against the State teams and Railway Sports Promotion Board team at the National Championships. The previous meets have witnessed a number of national records being broken over the years. This year Championship promises to bring out many record-breaking performances from the athletes in the track and field events.”
