2020 Tokyo Olympic Games Highlights Day 5: Look Back at Major Headlines, Match Results, Updated Medals Tally

It was a mixed day for India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 as some medal favourites were knocked out but several managed to move a step closer to achieving a podium finish. Boxer Pooja Rani is a set away from confirming a medal while B Sai Praneeth was knocked out from the group stages. Here is a recap of India's results on Day 5.

Indian archer Deepika Kumari has now advanced to round of 2 after beating Bhutan's Karma by 6-0. 

Pravin Jadhav has lost to world number 1  Brady Ellison by 0-6. We shall have Deepika Kumari's match in a while now. 

Calm and composed Pravin Jadhav defeats Galsan Bazarzhapov in the first round of the Men's Individual event in Archery. His next round will begin at 1.22 PM.

Tarundeep Rai has crashed out of Men's Individual Event Round of 32. His rank was lower than Israel's Itay Shanny. It was a shoot-off that decided the result.

So the Indian women's hockey team has lost their third consecutive match. This time they lost 1-4 to Great Britain. They now have a couple of games to go One against Ireland and the other against South Africa.
