While most of the teenagers have barely crossed the fences of the school, 14-year-old Arjun Bhati has made India proud by winning the US Kids Junior Golf World Championship 2018. The event was held in Malaysia and witnessed the participation of 29 countries. Arjun defeated America's Axl Mohru by 3 shots. The teenager went on to say that he wishes to win an Olympic gold medal for India. The tournament began from December 18, 2018, and ended on 21 of this month.
Arjun is a student of Greater Valley School, Greater Noida. His father who had accompanied the youngster to Malaysia told one of the newspapers that Arjun had participated in 13 to 14 years in Junior World Championship. Arjun has followed the game since his childhood and has been motivated to make his career in the sport.

This is not the first time that Arjun won the Junior Golf Championship. Back in 2016, he had defeated South Africa's Methu Denish during the three-level final match in Malaysia. "It was great exposure for me to play with the international players of my age group. I feel proud to represent India. I hope I will many more for my country in the future,” Arjun had said back then. His coach Manish Bindra was also happy with the achievement and said Arjun is an excellent player but needs to be consistent with the game.
