Indonesia’s Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki erupted once again on Saturday, November 9, sending hot ash 9.9 kilometres (6.2 miles) into the sky and forcing the evacuation of 16,000 residents. The eruption, which is the second in a week, has intensified, with authorities expanding the no-entry zone to 9 kilometres around the volcano in East Nusa Tenggara province. The eruption follows Monday’s deadly blast that claimed nine lives and injured several others.
