Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, a notorious serial killer known as the ‘Vampire’, has escaped from police custody in Kenya. Khalusha, who confessed to luring, murdering, and mutilating 42 women, including his wife, was being held at a police station in Nairobi following his arrest in July. The 33-year-old’s arrest came after the discovery of 10 dismembered bodies and several body parts stuffed in plastic sacks in the Kware area. On Tuesday morning, Khalusha, along with 12 other inmates, managed to escape by cutting through wire mesh in their cells and scaling the perimeter wall, according to Mohamed Amin, head of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations. Khalusha’s gruesome crimes, committed between 2022 and his arrest in July, involved placing the victims’ body parts in plastic bags and dumping them in a garbage dump. Kenyan Man Being Held over the Discovery of Dismembered Female Bodies Escapes from Police Custody.
