Horrifying police bodycam footage has surfaced showing a man identified as Nicholas Brutcher ambushing and killing two police officers after an altercation. The incident was triggered when Brutcher was ticketed and had his car towed following a traffic stop where he behaved belligerently, cursed at officers, and made threatening remarks. After being picked up by his mother and returning home, Brutcher made a false 911 call, claiming his brother was acting aggressively. When Sgt. Dustin DeMonte, Officer Alex Hamzy, and Officer Alec Iurato arrived, Brutcher, wearing camouflage, ambushed them with an AR-15. He fired 83 rounds—59 from the AR-15 and 24 from a 9mm. Officer Iurato survived, but Sgt. DeMonte and Officer Hamzy tragically lost their lives.
