In a tragic incident in New Jersey, a girl from Punjab's Jalandhar, identified as Jasvir Kaur, was shot dead, while her sister, Gagandeep Kaur, sustained injuries. The shooting occurred in front of their residence on Roosevelt Avenue in Carteret. The accused, identified as Gaurav Gill, also from Jalandhar's Hussainpur village in Nakodar, has been arrested. Reportedly, Gill has been charged with first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, one count of fourth-degree possession of a high-capacity magazine, and one count of first-degree attempted murder.
