A dramatic dashcam footage has been released, capturing a harrowing incident where a semi-truck driver was left hanging over the Ohio River in Louisville. The video was presented in court on Wednesday as Trevor Brehnam, a pick-up truck driver involved in the incident, made his appearance. The incident, which took place on March 1 on the Clark Memorial Bridge, began when Brehnam’s vehicle swerved out of his lane to avoid hitting a stalled car, subsequently crashing into the semi-truck. The semi-truck’s driver, 26-year-old Sydney Thomas, in a state of panic, attempted to avoid other cars on the bridge, resulting in the truck crashing through the guardrail and being left suspended above the river. The Jefferson County Kentucky Attorney’s Office has released the footage of the incident. The video, posted as a split image, shows Thomas in the truck in one frame, and the view from the front of the vehicle in the other. Within seconds of the crash, Thomas can be heard screaming until the truck came to a halt, dangling precariously over the river. The driver was later pulled to safety. US: Moving Vehicle Gets Struck by Lightning in Florida's Tampa, Stunning Video Surfaces.
