The Tulsa Fire Department reported that a house fire erupted in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the USA, after a dog chewed through a portable lithium-ion battery. The footage that surfaced on August 7, captured on an indoor monitoring camera, showed two dogs and a cat in the living room before one dog caused the battery to ignite. The department released the footage to highlight the dangers of lithium-ion batteries, emphasising their potential to release significant energy uncontrollably, generating heat, flammable gases, and even explosions.
