Tropical Storm Bebinca is expected to approach Japan's island chain, including Okinawa and Amami regions, over the weekend, September 14 and 15. The news was confirmed by the Philippines state weather bureau PAGASA, which said that the tropical cyclone will remain far from the Philippine landmass. They also said that Typhoon Bebina will intensify into a severe tropical storm within 24 hours and is likely to reach the typhoon category late Thursday.
