Amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, Yocheved Lifshitz, an Israeli hostage freed recently by Hamas, on Tuesday, October 24, criticised the Israel Defence Forces. Speaking to the media, Yocheved Lifshitz slammed the IDF for not taking Hamas' previous "warning" seriously enough. Her daughter Sharone Lifschitz said it was "wonderful" to have her mother home, as she hoped that all hostages return to their homes. Revealing details of her time as a hostage, Yocheved Lifshitz said, "Each person had a guard watching him or her. They took care of all the needs. They talked about all kinds of things, they were very friendly." Yocheved Lifshitz, freed from Hamas, also said she shook hands with a Hamas gunman "because they treated us very nicely".
